Hobby Forum Rearrangements

We'll be rearranging the hobby forums a bit over the next few weeks.
We will be consolidating the trains and model railroad forums, and the same with the dollhouses and miniature forums.
The topic areas that are under the http://pittsburghhobbyforums.com site will be consolidated under different sites.
The Pittsburgh Hobby Forums will be realigned to be generalized hobby information and talk, with specific hobbies or hobby areas having their own sites. The Pittsburgh Hobby Forums will become a general gathering area, and news area for product releases, events and local happenings. You'll be able to hook up with other pittsburghers, and regional people.
Rather than having a huge forum area with loads of unrelated hobbies and a more difficult structure, it makes sense to break off the bigger hobbies into their own areas right away, and keep a central gathering area.
We'll be setting up a Sci-Fi model kits site and forum, and that will cover general model building and plastic and resin kits.
It's been a lot of work setting up the different sites, but like a mall, with a lot of specific shops and stores, you'll be able to find what you want, and meet people with similar interests, without having to filter out huge amounts of unrelated information.
This will also let us add "niche" areas for each hobby, depending on the actual interest of the members. For instance, it's hard to justify adding an "Art Deco" topic for dollhouses and miniatures in a forum that also covers rockets and race cars, but it's pretty easy to do in a forum just about Dollhouses.
